The collegiate church in the 'village within the city' is located in one of the oldest parts of Saarbrücken.

St. Arnual, the 'village within the city' and one of Saarbrücken's oldest districts, is around 15 minutes' walk from the centre. The idyllic market square is surrounded by houses from the late Middle Ages that have retained their character to this day.

The Gothic collegiate church from the 13th century is one of the most important architectural monuments in south-west Germany. The tombs of the princes and counts of Nassau-Saarbrücken up to the 15th century are particularly worth seeing.
