Wonderful view in combination with a beautiful forest path
The Schwarzenberg tower is the highest viewing tower in Saarbrücken. 224 steps lead up to the 46 metre high viewing platform that offers a view all over town.The tower also has a barbecue area, which you can rent via the Amt für Stadtgrün und Friedhöfe.
A paved path leads all the way up to the tower, so this route is also perfect for families with pushchairs.
Alternatively, the Römerbrünnchen on the way back offers the perfect opportunity to linger and relax while the little ones let off steam at the fountain.
Travelling by public transport:
Bus route 106 from the Rathaus stop (in the direction of Rotenbühl)
Exit: Rotenbühl End
The tour starts at the Scheidter Straße car park (or alternatively the Am Schwarzenbergbad car park) and leads directly into the city forest.
Once in the forest, simply walk along the Turmweg until you reach the tower.
