The Nauwieser quarter is located in the immediate vicinity of the city centre. This alternative, trendy neighbourhood is known for the open-mindedness of its residents and the lively music and art scene.During the day, the streets are home to organic and natural food shops, second-hand clothing, antiques and crafts. In the evenings, the numerous pubs, bars and cafés transform the neighbourhood into an attractive meeting place, and not just for students.
The annual Nauwieser Viertel-Fest takes place there in summer and the Nauwieser Christmas market in winter.
