Great panoramic view with wooden platform to linger on

The Grühlingshöhe spoil tip offers hikers and nature lovers unique experiences and a magnificent panoramic view of the Saar coal forest. It is part of the former Jägersfreude mine and documents the impact of mining on the landscape in a special way.

The tip of the spoil tip, which was decommissioned in 1968, towers 65 metres above the ground. The deep erosion gullies on the spoil tip are also particularly impressive. Visitors making the ascent to the plateau with its summit cross will be rewarded with a unique panoramic view and a special experience of nature!

There are text excerpts from the book "Die Kinder der Toten" by Nobel Prize winner Elfriede Jelinek on stone thresholds.
