Located directly on the river Saar in the center of Saarbrücken is the "Große Haus" (main theater)
It is the largest venue of the Saarländisches Staatstheater, with an auditorium that can accommodate 875 guests.Here, opera, operetta, musical, drama and ballet performances take place, as well as special concerts.
In the foyers, you can attend chamber concerts, matinées and soirées. Introductions to the performances and discussions with the audience take place here, as well as lecture and discussion series.
