All hotspots at a glance

Our wifi hotpots support a large number of connections and perform well even with high user volumes.

Usage times

The usage times are currently limited to one hour per day when using free.wifi.saarbruecken and two hours when using secure.free.wifi.saarbruecken. There is currently no limit on the data transfer volume, but the available bandwidth per user is restricted.

The offer can be used by anyone on a wifi-enabled device located near one of the hotspots.

Select network

• Open the wifi settings on your smartphone, tablet or laptop.
• Select the network free.wifi.saarbruecken.
• When you select the network, the login area of the wifi landing page opens.
• If not, you can also enter the address of the landing page manually: http://hotspot.saarbruecken.de

Landing page

• On the landing page, you can choose between one hour of unsecured surfing and two hours of secured surfing.
• In both cases, you must accept the provider's terms of use.
• If you opt for the secure WPA2 connection, a secure WPA2 key is automatically generated. Copy it and enter it in the wifi settings under the wifi network secure.free.wifi.saarbruecken.

Notes

• The login remains active after logging in and you will automatically connect to the selected network as soon as your device is in reach of the network.
• The WPA2 key for the secure connection also only needs to be generated once and is then permanently stored on your device. When reconnecting the device later , you won't need to re-enter the WPA2 key.
